This was for a really difficult to illustrate assignment about a possible gene which causes humans to be selfless.
I didn't really get an A on this, its just a sketchbook drawing:
Madame Tutli-Putli was one of the films nominated for an oscar and it really inspired me. I love that stop motion stuff, and the characters always look strange in a really cool way. I drew these sketches of how i might draw characters to have that same quality.
the gene reminds me of pills i used to take when I used to like trance music.
ReplyDeleteI've really been enjoying your sci-fi style illustrations. I'm into futuristic crap myself and I hope I'll be as inventive with that stuff as you when I get my BFA in either Sequential art or Illustration (which is pretty far off, as I've yet to find money for art school tuition) Keep making those, they're cool.
ReplyDeleteYou're the boss
ReplyDeletei watched that short, it's teh kind! The characters are so cool, i especially like how she's ugly but really pretty at the same time. And those eyes.. my favorite is that ex tennis pro. ungh yea!

ReplyDeleteWoa! What happened to the men holding each other's, ummm, double helixes? Gone all gone.
ReplyDeleteThat was a tough one. Interesting article, hard to illustrate.
I liked how your editorial one turned out. The colors are really nice. It was so tough to do.
ReplyDeletei feel like picking one of the atom/gene pieces and popping into my mouth... it's a very inviting color.
ReplyDeleteinteresting take you had on the famous tough project =)
